Family Update

Well, it has been a while since I have posted on our blog so I guess it is time for an update on everyone. Dan is doing very well in his job and working some hours on the side for a home health care agency. He continues to enjoy weight lifting and running (when he has time) and most importantly playing with Mya in the evenings. They are quite a pair when it comes to rough housing. Mya loves her Daddy!
I am still a stay at home mom and loving every minute of it. Of course I stay busy during the week, but I love being available for Mya every day. I also babysit another little girl five days a week so that keeps me busy too. Mya and Hannah have become very good friends and enjoy playing together. We are 37 weeks now and waiting for baby Sara to arrive sometime soon. We are due on June 10, but I am hoping she might come sooner. The pregnancy has gone very well and taking the daily shots of Lovonox hasn't been too bad. It is painful, but Dan has figured out where to inject so it doesn't hurt so much. He has been such a trooper through this pregnancy. We can't wait to see what Sara looks like.
Mya is 19 months and growing taller as well as getting smarter every day. Her verbal skills are amazing. She loves to talk on the phone and read books to herself. She is quite the talker and is into everything. She is an active little girl who loves to move around and play a lot. She has been taking toddler gymnastics, which has been great for her activity level.
We would love to have prayers for baby Sara's delivery in hopes that everything goes smoothly and it is a little less painful then Mya's delivery.

Mya's New Cousin Arrived

Baby Bek arrived on Thursday, February 21 around 6:30 PM. He belongs to Dan's sister, Amie, and her husband, Ben. Bek has gorgeous dark hair and looks a lot like his daddy. We were very excited to all be there at the hospital when he arrived. Amie had a good delivery and did wonderful through it all.

Family Trip

This is not an official advertisement for the Comfort Inn in Bellville, Ohio, but we thought we would share how much fun we had at this hotel. Splash Harbour is an indoor water park at this hotel and we stayed there last night with Mya. It was so much fun! Mya was not scared of the water at all and actually scared us with the lack of fear when it came to running towards the water in the deep end of the pool. She would have jumped right in on her own if we wouldn't have kept a close eye on her. Her favorite part was the water slide. Dan took her down the slide many many times while I sat in the luke warm hot tub and watched them play. I preferred to stay warm during our stay there. We arrived at our destination Sunday afternoon around 3:00 and swam in the pool for a while. Then we went to dinner at Olive Garden and spent some time hanging out at Barnes & Nobles. Mya was way over-stimulated and responded by running around the store pulling books off the shelf with me trailing behind putting them away. Dan's attention was captivated by the muscle magazines, of course=) Mya went to sleep pretty well for the night but managed to move ALL over the bed through the night and wacked us in the face a couple times with her hands and feet. We had a great breakfast in the morning, swam some more, and came home around 11:00. It was a quick trip but so fun to get away for the night. The bonding time with Dan and Mya was priceless!

It's A Girl!

We had an ultra sound today and found out that we are having a girl. We have chosen the name Sara Meleah and she is due around June 10th. She was breached during the ultra sound but they weren't concerned about that. We are still in the process of deciding whether or not to have a C-section or natural delivery. We're still praying about that one.
I had to share fun news that we finally got a camera. We've been without one for a couple months so I was excited when we got it in the mail the other day. Here is the first picture from our new camera=)

Merry Christmas

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Dan and I were sick, unfortunately, but Mya had a fabulous time opening presents and playing with her cousins.
