Welcome to the Donatini family blog! It is by the grace of God that Dan and I have such a fun and loving group of family and friends. We are so thankful for our lives and give God all the glory!
My friend Jen inspired me to stay up to date with my blog, which I have not been good about. But I do miss writing about my family so here I go trying to catch up for lost time. Thanks Jen for your encouragement!
Sara Meleah Donatini arrived on June 5, 2008 at 4:30 in the afternoon. We were very happy to see her, but a bit shocked with all of her dark hair. Mya was born with light hair and not much of it so we were surprised. Sara's hair is beautiful and she doesn't look much like Mya. Its kind of fun having them look different from each other. They are each their own little person and we like it that way. My labor and delivery stories do not compare to when I had Mya, but that is a good thing. We delivered in Wooster and had a very good experience. We arrived at 7:00 am that morning and I started getting induced around 8:00 am. However, the anesthesiologist and my doctor disagreed on whether or not I could have an epidural due to the fact that I had Heprin in my system. Long story short, my doctor won and I did get the epidural around 1:00 pm. As soon as I got it they turned up my potosin and I dilated quickly. I pushed about 3 or 4 times and baby Sara made her grand entrance. My mom, sister, and Dan's mom were able to be there for the delivery. It was like a party in my room once I had my epidural. All in all it was a great day. I recovered pretty quickly from having Sara and am now happy to be back in my regular clothes and able to exercise on a regular basis. Now the question is......do we want any more kids? Before I had Sara I would have said "no." Now I'm not so sure. We will continue to pray about this decision. We have decided to stay in our house a lot longer so adding a third child would crowd things a bit. However, I have been working on redoing the upstairs and the space is very liveable and comfortable so the girls could use that as their bedroom. That would free up an extra room downstairs for a baby. Only God knows what will happen!!
